All new and readmitted students are required to participate in a BBN Orientation. Registration for BBN Orientation is on a first-come, first-served basis. 

BBN Orientations are open for registration for students starting in spring, summer and fall 2022. BBN Orientations in 2022 are scheduled to take place in-person on the University of Kentucky campus.

You are welcome to change your orientation date in myUK. Information about how to switch your orientation date can be found on the bottom of this webpage.

Incoming Freshmen: Register in myUK

You’ll need to use Google Chrome or Firefox to complete this process. Microsoft Edge, Safari and Internet Explorer do not work with the myUK portal.

  • Log in to myUK.uky.edu with your linkblue username and password.
    • If you have not already created your linkblue account, please do so at newstudent.uky.edu. 
    • If you have technical trouble accessing myUK, contact UK ITS at 859-218-4357.
  • Select Student Services
    • You'll see the message "Not an Active Student."
    • This is a normal message to see until you've registered for coursework at orientation. You can still continue with the registration steps below.
  • Select Admissions from the top toolbar, then select BBN Orientation Registration on the left panel.
  • Once you’re in the BBN Orientation Registration in myUK: 

    • Select Register for an Orientation;

    • Select the orientation date of choice;

    • Select Continue and choose your payment method

      • Note: payment is required in advance of orientation only for fall freshmen; other students will have applicable orientation fees assessed after participating in orientation.

    • Once you have selected your payment method, click the Next button to enter your payment method information. If payment is not made at the time of confirmation, you will not be confirmed for BBN Orientation and will need to reserve your space when your payment can be completed.

      IMPORTANT: After completing your payment, be sure to follow all prompts. If you do not complete the process after payment to select an orientation date, you will not be registered for an orientation.

Transfer and Readmitted Students with Transfer work: Register in myUK

You’ll need to use Google Chrome or Firefox to complete this process. Microsoft Edge, Safari and Internet Explorer do not work with the myUK portal.

    • IMPORTANT: After selecting Continue, you are confirmed and registered for your BBN Orientation. You will be assessed a $25 orientation fee after completing your BBN Orientation.

Online Program and Readmitted Students without Transfer Work

Need to change your orientation date?

  • Once you’re in the BBN Orientation Registration in myUK: 

    • Select Switch Orientation;

    • Select your BBNO date of choice;

    • Select Continue

There will be no additional charges for switching your orientation.

Can't see the date you're looking for?

Orientations are open for registration on a first-come, first-served basis. To ensure the best advising experience possible, we work with colleges to set capacities for individual dates. 

If you don't see your first choice date, please select a different date. We do not operate with a waitlist, but if date becomes available, it'll appear in your myUK portal again.
