Registering for an orientation is the official way to confirm your attendance at UK!

Orientations are open for registration on a first-come, first-served basis. To ensure the best advising experience possible, we work with colleges to set capacities for individual dates. 

If you are already registered for BBN Orientation, you can select a new date using the instructions above. You'll only see available dates. 

You’ll need to use Google Chrome or Firefox to complete this process. Microsoft Edge, Safari and Internet Explorer do not work with the myUK portal.

• Log in to myUK.uky.edu with your linkblue username and password.
• Select Student Services. 
  • You'll see the message "Not an Active Student."
  • This is a normal message to see until you've registered for coursework at orientation. You can still continue with the registration steps below.
• Select Admissions from the top toolbar, then select BBN Orientation Registration on the left panel.
• Once you’re in the BBN Orientation Registration in myUK: 
  • Select Switch Orientation;
  • Select your BBN Orientation date of choice;
  • Select Continue

There will be no additional charges for switching your BBN Orientation.

A final high school transcript showing GPA and date of graduation is still required even if your school used a pass/fail grading system for the final semester. Please have your high school counselor send directly to:

Test modifications and changes are not affecting our current credit awarding process for incoming students. Please have the testing agency send your official score report to the University of Kentucky.

Freshman students joining us in the fall semester pay a $125 orientation fee and $125 enrollment prepayment when registering for orientation. Additionally, students must pay a $30 guest fee per guest if bringing a guest(s) to BBN Orientation. The enrollment prepayment secures your place in the class and will appear as a credit on a student’s fall tuition bill.

We encourage you to stay on campus during your time at BBN Orientation. We will have a residence hall open that allows students and their guests to stay in a two bedroom suite style room. For more information, click here.

Yes, we are happy to accommodate parents or guests to attend an in-person BBN Orientation. The guest fee is $30 per guest and can be added when you register for your in-person orientation.

Students joining should review orientation.uky.edu/checklist. 

You should be added to your Canvas course about 3-4 weeks prior to orientation. You'll receive an invitation to join the Canvas course through your UK email (accessible at go.uky.edu/m365)

While you may receive mail from the Office of Orientation to your home address, most communication, including information from your advisor, will go to your UK email address. Visit go.uky.edu/m365 to check your mail. Your email address to log in is yourlinkblue@uky.edu (e.g. wldct234@uky.edu).
