For the self-paced (virtual) orientation, there is no formal orientation programming taking place and you do not need to come to campus for orientation. Your orientation is fully online, at your own pace. You will complete the orientation requirements by completing your Orientation Canvas course and meeting with your academic advisor.
You can expect to hear from your academic college with advising instructions based on the timeline below.
Starting October 1, students who register for the Spring 2026 online self-paced orientation will be added to the Canvas course and begin receiving outreach from their academic college on a rolling basis.
If you register after October 1, you can expect to be added to Canvas and contacted by your college within two weeks of registering. All communication will be sent to your UK email address, so be sure to check it regularly.
After your advising appointment, your advisor will lift the Advisor Hold, allowing you to register for classes during the semester’s secondary registration windows.
